For a bigger, bolder Canada: a Century Initiative dialogue

Century Initiative was delighted to partner with the Simon Fraser University Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue to host a dialogue with 70 guests from various stakeholder organizations in Vancouver, BC on November 25, 2019. Moderated by Shauna Sylvester, Executive Director of SFU Centre for Dialogue, this event was organized to canvass regional perspectives on Century Initiative’s report ‘For a Bigger, Bolder Canada’ and its 10 recommendations.

Jasmine Gill, Director of Policy and Programs at Century Initiative presented the report to the attendees and described the basis and rationale for each of the report’s recommendations. Alex LeBlanc, Executive Director of the New Brunswick Multicultural Council outlined efforts underway in New Brunswick organizations to develop extended long term strategies with immediate action.

The attendees were engaged in high level discussions of challenges, opportunities, and considerations applicable to BC and all of Canada. This event was an excellent starting point for expert roundtable conversations on Canada’s environment and infrastructure was we build for 2100.
