Century Initiative partnered with The Globe and Mail to present People and Prosperity: Planning for Canadian Growth, an online event featuring conversations on the approaches, policies, and investments we need to support Canada's growth and prosperity. The event brought together different speakers from across the country to discuss the strategies, approaches, policies, and investments that are needed to grow Canada’s population in order to sustain national prosperity. Speakers included The Right Honorable Brian Mulroney, The Right Honorable Beverly McLachlin, Mark Wiseman, Lisa Lalande, Dr. Marie Delorme, and many more. Century Initiative also launched its new National Scorecard on Canada's Growth and Prosperity at the event.

Century Initiative took part in a two day convening event led by the National Immigration Centre of the Conference Board of Canada, that focused on “Diversity and Inclusion: Immigration, Recruitment and Retention Practices in Canada.” Members of the National Immigration Centre discussed ways COVID-19 has exacerbated newcomer employment struggles, the hiring of refugee workers, and addressing systemic racism in the workplace.

A panel discussion at a two day national conference hosted by The Institute for 21st Century Questions on Canada’s population and immigration, migration, demography post-pandemic with Leigh Salsberg, Immigration and Refugee Lawyer & Co-Counsel, Supreme Court Constitutional Challenge to Safe Third Country Agreement; Michael Barutciski, Professor, Glendon College and Montréal-based Associate Editor, Global Brief; Kareem El-Assal, Director, Policy and Digital Strategy at CanadaVisa); and Lisa Lalande, CEO, Century Initiative.

On September 16, 2020, Senator Ratna Omidvar invited Senators and their staff to attend a webinar on the future of immigration in Canada. Goldy Hyder discussed Canada’s competitive advantage in welcoming more newcomers to help our country’s economy and highlighted the need for more education surrounding #immigration.
