Century Initiative partnered with The Globe and Mail to present People and Prosperity: Planning for Canadian Growth, an online event featuring conversations on the approaches, policies, and investments we need to support Canada's growth and prosperity. The event brought together different speakers from across the country to discuss the strategies, approaches, policies, and investments that are needed to grow Canada’s population in order to sustain national prosperity. Speakers included The Right Honorable Brian Mulroney, The Right Honorable Beverly McLachlin, Mark Wiseman, Lisa Lalande, Dr. Marie Delorme, and many more. Century Initiative also launched its new National Scorecard on Canada's Growth and Prosperity at the event.
Century Initiative took part in a two day convening event led by the National Immigration Centre of the Conference Board of Canada, that focused on “Diversity and Inclusion: Immigration, Recruitment and Retention Practices in Canada.” Members of the National Immigration Centre discussed ways COVID-19 has exacerbated newcomer employment struggles, the hiring of refugee workers, and addressing systemic racism in the workplace.
