David Naylor

David Naylor, a physician and officer of the Order of Canada, is president emeritus of the University of Toronto. His background includes a DPhil in social and administrative studies at Oxford, and post-doctoral work in epidemiology. Early in his career, Dr Naylor was a founder of the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES), a prominent medical research organization and think tank dedicated to smart healthcare policy alternatives. Currently professor of medicine at U of T, Dr Naylor is an active health researcher, with wide-ranging policy interests. His counsel is sought regularly by governments, non-profits, and investor-owned corporations.
